The Ghana Team •

Father Paul has established a team to finalize the plan to build a youth center in his village, New Takoradi, Ghana.
  • Hi! My name is Josephine. I am in the Ghana Education Service as a Secretary and I also double as a Procurement Officer.

I was born and bred in New Takoradi so I must say I’m very excited that our community has been chosen for this project.

I was privileged enough to have come from a family that was able to provide me all that I needed to help me excel in my educaTon as well as my social life something that a lot of the youth in New Takoradi lack. So I strongly believe that the Youth center will help the youth a lot especially the girls to be able to learn and earn something for themselves in other not to be dependent on others. And with the help of my colleagues we will engage them physically and mentally to enable them know their worth and appreciate themselves more.

  • I'm ERNESTINA, a teacher in the Junior High School. I've been in the teaching profession for 23years and 6years of it was spent with the New Takoradi Community.

I strongly support the construction of this youth centre for the youth of New Takoradi to offer them a safe space for learning new communication skills, entrepreneurial skills, through interactions and to have a sense of belonging in their community. It will promote positive relationships and friendships with their peers and the leaders of the church, community and the larger society. this group I believe seek to engage them in educational programs and leisure activities that will help:
    • in the growth of positive self-esteem. • reduce the rate of social vises in the community
    • fostering and promoting civic engagement
    • developing leadership skills and others. it is my fervent prayer that this big dream materialize in no time to save our youth. I'm blessed to be part of this team.

  • Hello, my name is Augustina Attakruh. I am a teacher by profession and l have been a teacher for about 23years teaching in a primary school. I lived in New Takoradi for about 15 years and looking at the social vices and its negaTve effects on some of the youth there, I will say I am very happy to be part of this project. I believe this project will help in equipping the youth with skills and knowledge that will help them leave beber lives and become more independent and responsible people in their families, community and the church at large. I am ready to work with everyone who has this project at heart and I pray that this big dream becomes a reality. Thanks and God bless you all.

  • I'm Emmanuel FiiFi Herman, a native of new Takoradi and still residing in the community.

I'm pleased with this upcoming projects which will help my community to eradicate challenges with drugs abuse and ensuring better future for my community.

  • Fr Paul Esibu came to Divine Redeemer Parish, Sewickley PA, in December of 2018.

While studying at Duquesne University, he resided at St. James campus and was immediately embraced into our parish family. He ministered in our hospitals, even throughout COVID. He served as a spiritual leader and friend among parishioners and became a favorite among the youth in our parish.

In the spring 2021, Fr. Paul graduated from Duquesne University with a Masters Degree in Theology. Shortly after, he received the call from his bishop to return home to Ghana. He was greatly needed in his diocese and home town.

It was sad for us to see him go, but we said farewell with hearts full of HOPE.

He asked us to help him develop opportunities for the youth in Ghana. Through prayer and collaborative work, we are ready to join efforts with Fr. Paul and make a difference.

Please join us in making this possible!
