This is How Sundays are Meant to Be!
A heartfelt thank-you note from a dear parishioner
Thank you and your whole team. It was absolutely a wonderful time!
I had not planned to attend this event, as my Sundays are usually quite busy. But earlier in the day, my daughter called and said, “Mom, if you want to go, I have extra tickets,” because a couple of her kiddos were busy.
I kept looking at all I was “supposed” to do, and then the Holy Spirit just gave me the most gentle nudge to come.
I am so grateful for eachand every moment I was there.
The Mass was phenomenal, looking up as Fr raised Jesus in the Eucharist with the backdrop of the blue skiesand green trees and peaceful pond.
I reflected as my day ended, I kept hearing, “this is how Sundays are meant to be”Seeing dads with their sons teaching them their fishing skills, daughters and moms playing cornhole,the laughter and silliness of the little ones, jumping in the “bouncy house,” running free in safety, going on hay rides, baseball games… food galore, beautiful music, and the gracious and welcoming smiles of everyone involved!
We couldn’t have said it better! The Family Fundraiser benefiting Fr. Paul’s mission was truly magical!
Not just for the fun, but for something rare: no cell phones in sight! Just families, friends, and even strangers fully present to one another, sharing and enjoying the beautiful day that God gave us.
A big thank you to everyone who came, donated, volunteered, and supported this event,especially the Friends of Fr. Paul and our sponsors! We are one step closer to this dream becoming a reality.
